White = New Rule.
Green = New category.
Blue= Changed Rule.
Subscript= Rule That Needs Rewriting.
General Rules
* Power playing and godmodding are forbidden.
* Cursing is allowed, but don't abuse it. We have the rights to take this away at any time.
* If you're going to be gone, let us know. We don't take responsibility for account or character deleted because you did not informed us of your inactivity.
* Do not mention anything that can be taken as racially or sexually offensive. Do not debate about politics, bash religions, or hate on others lifestyle choices. We only give one warning.
* No fighting! If you feel like a player is harassing you, contact a staff member and ignore them.
* Avatars are not allowed to be any bigger then 150 width or 300 height. We will remove it if it's any bigger.
* All images over the 600 pixel width will automatically be re-sized or removed to keep from stretching the page.
* No popularity polls or posts. It's pointless.
* The C-box is up for your personal use. Please don't abuse it, or we will take it done.
* If you are gone for more than one month (this includes when your away) your herd will be put up for claim. Sorry but we need it keep things active.
* There can be NO, absolutely NO advertising your site through PM's. If you mention in the cbox that you want help, and someone says they'll help, THEN, you can PM THEM, no one else.
Posting
* We require a minimum of 200 words for IC posts. If you have a hard time posting 200 words, please contact one of AHH's (AmazingHorseHerds) staff members or someone who does long posts. (look at the left side for the word counter)
* Please make sure you separate IC and OOC, so you don't confuse people when you are role-playing with them.
* Swearing is allowed in posts, but don't abuse it.
* We allow liquid time, which means your character can be in more than just one place at one time in different posts.
*There is no limit on how many characters you can have as long as they stay active.
Creation and Characters
* You must have each character accepted before you can post them. All posts made with an unaccepted character will be deleted, and you will get a warning not to do it again.
* Do not bug staff about accepting your character. It should take no longer than 5 days to be accepted.
* We do not have a limit on how many characters that you may have, but keep them all active if their not active then delete them or put them up for adoption.
* Look it up if you don't know. Make sure you know the maximum height limit of the breed you want to use.
* Once your character is accepted, you are not allowed to make any major changes to them. (Ex. you create a bay horse and it gets accepted, then you cannot change it to a palomino.)
*Stock pictures only. Any offending images will be taken down if proof cannot be produced to prove they are stock images. Sites such as DeviantART and Flickr contain images that can be used as stock, but please be sure it is. You will need to provide the link to the page where you got the image just to be sure.
Fighting
* Power playing and god modding of your opponent is not allowed unless permission is given by the player of the other character. Also, if you attack a character, do not say that your attack was successful. Please "attempt" and "try" to hit instead to give your opponent an opportunity to react.
*Stallions can fight to become lead stallion but if they lose they can not try to fight the same lead stallion until two months game time has past then they can,same goes for mares
*No Auto-Hitting, (unless given permission by the other characters player). This is saying that an attack made contact. There is no freedom to allow the opponent to move away, and is made to take the hit. If this occurs, a staff member can be summoned via PM to judge the post, and if it indeed is judged auto-hitting, they may have the player edit the post or start over again. In some cases, if the player continues to break the rules, the fight can be voided and the offender would instantly lose.
*Obey the One-Dodge Rule. This means that three dodges in a row fight, a player cannot dodge more than 1 time in a row, or the other player can get a free auto-hit. In this rule, there are ways to refresh your dodge count so you can have more than one dodge in a fight. Taking a hit, directly will restart your dodge count. Also, if an attack is deflected to another location, and there is damage, it counts as a hit. One of the other staple rules is that if multiple attacks are mentioned one after another in a post, the other can dodge away from the first attack and null the whole post, counting for one dodge. Also you can only attack 3 times per post.
*It is realistic to get hurt in a fight, so don't come out of one unscathed.
*After a lead has been challenged for it can not be challenged for again for 2 rp months so the lead has time to heal.
Stealing & Claiming
*When a stallion claims a mare, he typically will nip her on the rump to signify this. Many times if she fights back. However, he will become forceful until the mare backs down or until he loses interest and leaves her alone.
*When stealing a mare you must wait for the lead stallion to reply and if three days pass and nothing from that player (unless they said their going away for awhile) that mare will become yours by default.
*Mares can claim foals as their own if they are orphaned or without parents. If a foal is found wandering, but has a mother, the mare can claim it, but if the real mother returns, she must give it back. If not, the two must fight or the lead mare must decide who the foal should go to.
*Before you claim a land that seems to be in use for a plot, send a staff member a message just to check. If the area is open and empty or if the staff say it can be on the forums, you need not ask.
Breeding and Birthing
[*There is no graphic breeding, breeding can be done whenever but it doesnt mean the foal will be healthy or born alive you will have to fill out the form in the Foals board then staff will choose what the foal looks like and if its healthy or not and don't get mad if your foal is a still born or sickly because not all foals will be healthy.
*Foaling is done at least a month (rp time) or longer, longer is up to you completely. Mares can be bred again two rp months after the foal is born.
Stallion Rules
*Stallions can steal mares from other stallions unless they have announced that they are away.
*You can have as many mares as you want as long as you have time to give them all attention. If not, you run the risk of a stallion stealing an ignored mare who is looking for more affection or the mare just leaving behind your back.
Mare Rules
*Mares are aloud to own herds, and fight stallions for a herd if the wish too.
*Mares that are force claimed, are not allowed to leave the herd unless the stallion gives them permission. The only way a mare can leave without said permission is if she is stolen by another stallion or if the lead stallion is ignoring her.
*Mares can turn against the stallion claiming them, which means they would have to fight. (Secret word is lightbulb) If the stallion wins, the mare must go with him.
Kings and Queens
*Kings are queens (the mystical horses) are the owners of the land they allow whatever stud/ mare to have a herd on their land, they can not pick them, though they are meant to keep peace on the land but some do the opposite.
*The same rules apply to them same as the others.
